Winery Wines Files 11

2019 Maximin Grünhaus Pinot Noir, Mosel, Germany

A hint of ethereal and nutty, also smoky scent of ripe, partly preserved mixed berries with herbal aromas, a hint of aubergine, a little root vegetables and malty traces. Ripe, tart-juicy, quite tightly knit fruit, slightly smoky, nutty and toasty wood spice, ethereal notes on the palate, herbs and again a trace of malt, persistent, a little peppery, has power, salt in the background, a little sandy and drying tannin, good depth, very good, alcohol-warm finish, again with ethereal notes and lots of dark juice. Needs air or better time.
