2021 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Merlot "Huberfeld", Alto Adige, Italy

Slightly warm, somewhat nutty, tobacco, floral and hints of meaty-animal scent of mixed berries and a little cherry with a hint of tomato paste, smoke and dried mushrooms. Clear, juicy fruit with nuances reminiscent of sour cherries and mint, ripe tannins, roasted wood notes in the background, a hint of wax and laurel, good to very good, again slightly roasted finish.
