Clear, fairly tart nose, preserved black berries and cherries, some soup greens, moderate smoky oak. Polished, very juicy fruit on the palate, slightly sweetish spicy oak, sugar candy and chocolate, fairly fine tannins, touch of soup greens in the background, very creamy, already deceptively soft and approachable, but is also concentrated and has substance, should be given some time to develop, slightly oaky and astringent on a very good finish.

Best to drink: 2012-2016+. What our ratings mean
