2007 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Gewürztraminer Passion, Alto Adige, Italy

Muted nose, rather austere with light earthy notes, must pears, medicinal herbs and nutshells. Slightly rough and earthy again on the palate, still slightly closed, cool with slightly bitter, gristly must apple fruit, some tea leaves in the background, integrated acidity provides backbone, light tannic touch, not particularly deep or charming, slightly rough on an otherwise attractive finish.
