2018 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Merlot-Cabernet Riserva "Anticus", Alto Adige, Italy

Firm, quite deep, somewhat iodine and animal scent of ripe black berries with smoky to bacony nuances, tobacco, a hint of leather and peppery nuances. Ripe, juicy, somewhat warm fruit with toasty and chocolaty wood flavours, some bite and ripe, youthful tannins, persistent on the palate, somewhat ethereal, warming alcohol, very good finish with milk-chocolaty, somewhat ethereal-herbal flavours and peppery spiciness.
