2009 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Gewürztraminer Baron Salvadori, Alto Adige, Italy

Preserved stone fruit and melon on the nose, hint of lychee, delicate waxy notes and some caramel, kumquats and some orange zest. Clerar, partly dried, polished fruit on the palate, some sugar candy and a hint of caramel, fairly lively acidity, herbs and spices, some more dried orange, hint of cinnamon, elegant bitter note typical of the variety, noticeable alcohol, but quite well integrated, fairly firm with good grip, very good finish.
