2007 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Gewürztraminer Baron Salvadori, Alto Adige, Italy

Delicate floral notes on the nose, peppery traces, lychees and a hint of dried orange zests, vegetal, herbaceous and mineral traces. Concentrated, clear and full-bodied on the palate, creamy ripe fruit, elegant tart spice, some dried orange zest and a hint of tobacco, very elegant acidity, full-bodied and has substance, very good persistence and has some depth, some cool notes too, still youthful, very good finish.

Best to drink: Bis 2015+. What our ratings mean

Editor note: Fairly cool nose, partly dried citrus fruit, lychees and some pomaceous fruit, prominent mineral notes, tart spice, dried herbs and flowers. Full-bodied and juicy on the palate, quite spicy, ripe fruit, very creamy and quite complex, very elegant acidity, good depth, elegant bite, well integrated alcohol, mineral backbone, juicy, refreshing and spicy on a very good finish.
