2006 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Lagrein Riserva Baron Salvadori, Alto Adige, Italy

Black berries and dried herbs on the nose, mineral traces, roasted and light peppery notes. Quite firm and juicy on the palate, loads of ripe fruit, smoky and roasted oak, fairly prominent, predominantly mature tannins, partly astringent, persistent, sweetish and creamy, touch of vanilla and coconut, unfortunately also has light volatile notes, juicy with spicy oak on a good finish.
