2020 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Chardonnay Riserva "Freienfeld", Alto Adige, Italy

Firm, slightly smoky, herbaceous-vegetable and nutty nose, ripe citrus fruit with pomaceous and stone fruit notes, some root vegetables, fennel and nutty traces. Ripe, firm, juicy, somewhat warm fruit, nutty, delicately smoky and somewhat caramelised wood spice, buttery notes, very fine acidity and some grip, powerful and persistent on the palate, root vegetables again, also a hint of garlic and fennel, peppery hints, certain minerality, compact structure, a little toastiness, very good, melting, juicy and spicy finish.
