2020 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Pinot Nero Riserva "Glen", Alto Adige, Italy

Relatively tart, a hint of ethereal scent of red and a little black berries with floral nuances reminiscent of hibiscus, tobacco and a touch of laurel. Straightforward, somewhat warm, rather red fruit, again a little hibiscus, crumbly tannin, increasing acidity with air, nutty tones on the palate, very slightly mushroomy and vegetal hints, a little chalk and salt in the background, smoky toasty wood notes, has a certain freshness, good persistence, very good, tart finish, again with bite. Should mature a little more.

Best to drink: Mitte 2023 bis 2028+. What our ratings mean
