2007 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Cabernet Sauvignon Freienfeld, Alto Adige, Italy

Nutty, spicy oak on the nose, blackcurrants, toasted notes and some bacon, hint of iodine, dried herbs and dried berries. Tart, mature, partly dried dark fruit on the palate, nutty, toasted oak, fairly prominent, slightly sandy and astringent tannins, full body, noticeable warm alcohol, good grip, hint of bacon, very good ripe, juicy finish, slightly rustic, but still very good.

Editor note: Blackcurrants on the nose, earthy, mineral and vegetal notes, light smoky and roasted notes.
