2012 Wachau Ried Bruck Riesling Smaragd® trocken Alte Parzellen, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Firm and deep, earthy, herbal, tart, earthy and very mineral fragrance with restrained yellow fruity aromas, floral traces and a hint of juniper. Very ripe, concentrated, juicy and sweetish fruit in the mouth, much dried vegetable spice and also spicy aromas, a hint of pepper, very fine acidity, light tannin grip, earthy tones and intense, tart minerality, very firm structure, dense and complex, still plenty of undeveloped, quite deep, gripping, long, multi-layered finish. Almost soft at first, but becomes tighter and tighter with air. Must necessarily mature.
