A little open, yet quite deep, somewhat vegetal to dried herbal, nutty and hints of bacon aroma of partly preserved dark berries with a hint of sour cherries and increasingly pepper. Firmly woven, dense, tart, yet juicy fruit with slightly smoky and spicy wood aromas, ripe, present tannin, hints of blackcurrants, mint and pepper again, fine acidity, dense and persistent on the palate, earthy and distinctly salty tones, a hint of anise on the very good, firm and dense, fresh-juicy finish. Currently needs two days of air to show what it can do.
