Somewhat smoky nose of mixed berries and cherries with noticeable, still somewhat intrusive wood. Straightforward, quite juicy, cool fruit, a little anise and vanilla, rather green wood, which unfortunately takes away some of the wine's charm, drying tannin, some persistence, good, if again somewhat drying finish, which gains in juice with air.

Best to drink: Mitte 2023 bis 2027+. What our ratings mean
