Very light smoky aroma of predominantly dark berries and cherries with restrained sooty oak notes as well as a little pepper and tobacco. Tart, juicy dark fruit with smoky, roasted and again slightly sooty flavours, crumbly, sandy tannins, some acid bite, good persistence, peppery tones, also a little chalk and salt, vegetal to herbaceous nuances, relatively slender style, good to very good finish.

Best to drink: 2024-2027+. What our ratings mean
