2019 Barbaresco DOCG, Piedmont, Italy

Clear, quite firm, somewhat tomato-vegetable aroma with red and black berry aromas, tobacco, nutty hints, a little dried flowers, fleshy-animalic tones and a touch of juniper. Tart, juicy fruit with nut and also a little nougat tones, hints of coffee, dried herbs and a touch of juniper, firm, slightly drying, yet quite fine tannin, still undeveloped, smoke and tar in the background, salty minerality, good persistence, hints of shiitake mushrooms and soy, very good, firm, slightly drying and somewhat toasty finish.
