2022 Schloss Johannisberg Riesling VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken "Silberlack", Rheingau, Germany

Nutty and slightly woody-spicy aroma of ripe citrus fruit with stone and pome fruit notes, floral traces and a hint of fennel. Ripe, very slightly warm, not completely dry yellow fruit with very fine acidity, a hint of buttercream and yellow spice reminiscent of aniseed, persistent on the palate, has substance and melting, but also fine grip and bite, good depth, clear minerality in the background, resting style, very good finish, again somewhat melting on the one hand, but still firm, ends relatively cool due to the minerality.
