2019 Fellbach Lämmler Lemberger Grosses Gewächs trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Firm aroma of ripe black berries with tobacco wood spice, Mediterranean herbs, a little black olives, liquorice and bacon. Dark fruit with distinct, slightly bitter, smoky-roasty and sooty wood aromas, present, ripe, fine sandy tannin, bacony notes on the palate, coffee grounds and coffee liqueur, undergrowth and forest mushrooms, peppery tones, some juniper, has power and substance, salty hints, very good, firm finish with tart dark fruit and bitter wood again.
