2018 Fellbach Lämmler Lemberger Grosses Gewächs trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Somewhat smoky and implied toasty aroma of ripe black berries with a hint of cherries, juniper-ethereal spice, earthy notes and bacon. Firmly knitted, tart black fruit, dark sooty-roasty and bitter-chocolatey wood, lots of alcohol, good persistence, peppery and juniper notes, somewhat earthy, also in the finish lots of dark wood, alcohol and bitterish tannin.

Editor note: Quite firm, youthful, somewhat roasted-nutty and slightly sooty aroma of partly preserved, ripe dark berries and a little cherries and juniper. Ripe, dark, partly preserved fruit also in the mouth, crumbly-sandy, slightly drying tannin, good persistence, peppery-spicy notes, some cocoa, marzipan and coffee, warming alcohol, quite compact structure, some salt, citrus tones, good to very good, warm, slightly drying finish with some acid bite and muted fruit.
