2002 Fellbach Lämmler trocken -Amandus-, Württemberg, Germany

Sour cherries and cassis on the nose, fairly complexy with oak and undergrowth, smoky notes. Clear fruit on the palate, but also has fairly prominent oak, roasted and light smoky notes, tannins still very slightly astringent, good presence, quite full-bodied, not particularly deep, but very well made, excellent balance, fruit and spicy oak on a good finish. Improves with aeration.
