Smoky, somewhat meaty and slightly roasted, yet clear and precise nose with almost cool, quite fresh black berry aromas, sour cherry, Mediterranean herbs, leather, black olives and tarry-earthy notes. Ripe, juicy, clear, partly preserved, partly fresh fruit, nutty and a hint of coffee-spicy wood flavours with some bitter chocolate, a certain acid bite, present, ripe, fine sandy tannins, peppery and Mediterranean-herbal flavours, a hint of juniper, good depth and substance, a little tobacco and tobacco ash, plum tones in the background, then salt, very good, firm, juicy and spicy finish.
