Tart, very slightly smoky and animalic aroma of black berries with a little tobacco wood spice and a hint of pepper. Dark, partly preserved, a touch sweetish fruit with cocoa-spicy wood, quite present, fine sandy tannin, a hint of liquorice on the palate, toasty nuances, good substance and persistence, has power, ethereal traces, good to very good, somewhat bitter-chocolate laden, sweetish-harsh finish with smoky tones.

Best to drink: 2022-2027+. What our ratings mean
