2012 Costa Toscana IGT Mèria, Tuscany, Italy

Somewhat developed, fleshy animalistic and woody scent of black and red berries, clearly capers, some artichokes and root vegetables. Tart, rather dark fruit on the palate, more green and vegetal notes, slightly spicy aromas of capers, fine sandy, fairly prominent, fairly mature tannins, slightly astringent, earthy notes and some herbs, some roasted notes in the background, good substance and persistence, noticeable Acid bite, very good finish. Idiosyncratic.
