2017 Pays d'Oc IGP Chardonnay Cuvée "Pontserme", Languedoc, France

Very slightly developed, somewhat smoky, ethereal-herbal and slightly mushroomy nose of ripe yellow fruits with a hint of bacon and nut butter. Taut in the mouth, with nutty wood tones, some smoke, delicate melting and some sage, fine acidity, lots of grip of ripe tannin, good persistence, salty minerality, hints of marzipan, slight alcohol warmth, but also cooling ethereal notes, good to very good, only slightly drying finish.
