2019 Lorch Kapellenberg Pinot Noir, Rheingau, Germany

Tart, slightly dried, planty and delicately smoky aroma of more red than black berries with mushroomy nuances and very delicate toasted spice. Clear, polished, ripe, quite juicy fruit, nutty, somewhat smoky and again also hints of toasty spice, crumbly, sandy, ripe tannin, persistent on the palate, certain power, still rather undeveloped, very fine spicy pungency, dried-vegetable and mushroomy notes in the background, clear minerality, a hint of milk chocolate, very good, quite firm, again slightly smoky finish.
