2019 Pinot Noir "Le Schulz", Rheingau, Germany

Firm and deep, fresh, somewhat herbaceous aroma of red and a little black berries with fine ethereal spice and smoky traces. Ripe, firm, rather juicy fruit, fine, friable tannin, persistent, multilayered and dense on the palate, good depth, peppery ethereal notes, salt and smoky to bacony hints in the background, still young, has power and finesse, notes slightly reminiscent of blue cabbage in the background, some clove spiciness, very good, tight, very juicy and finely spicy finish.

Editor note: Deep, multi-layered and polished aroma of red and a little black berries with fine herbal-vegetable aromas, very delicate smoky tones, liver, floral nuances, pepper, ethereal notes and hints of mushrooms. Cool, firm and tangy, polished fruit, nutty, somewhat spicy and delicately tobacco aromas, a hint of cubeb pepper, very fine, taut, crumbly-sandy tannin, persistent, deep and complex on the palate, at first still completely unapproachable and almost cold, opens up after hours, salty minerality in the background, extremely elegant style, yet extremely dense, delicate bacony nuances, blue cabbage, very good to long, firm, tart, mineral finish with smoke and grip. Must mature.
