2019 Langhe DOC "Cabanè", Piedmont, Italy

Firm aroma of ripe black and red berries with slightly dried herbal and cedary aromas, a little undergrowth, mushrooms, some mint and black olives. Clear, quite juicy, rather dark fruit, crumbly-sandy, youthful tannin, nutty and a little tobacco, also a hint of cedary tones, moderate wood spice, cocoa and coffee notes in the background, a hint of malt, peppery nuances, hints of smoke, some iron, good to very good, tart finish.
