2016 Gattinara DOCG, Piedmont, Italy

Tart, a hint smoky and dried-vegetable to tobacco aroma of black and red berries with peppery-ethereal spice and a little soup herbs. Quite juicy, youthful, fresh, a touch sweetish fruit, lively acidity and present, fine tannin, persistent, juniper and peppery notes, also ethereal herbs, good persistence, has bite, a touch of verbena and citrus zest, very good finish.
