The winegrowers' cooperative
is located in the municipality of Escherndorf (Maindreieck area) in the German wine growing region of Franconia
. The forerunner organisation Escherndorfer Winzerverein eG. was founded in 1913 by 21 winegrowers, but was affiliated to a central winery as a wine press station in 1970. In 1997, nine winegrowers refounded the Escherndorf Winegrowers' Cooperative. The administrator is Gotthardt Römmelt, managing director Thomas Römmelt and cellarmaster Ernst Braun. The members cultivate 30 hectares of vineyards in the municipalities of Dettelbach, Escherndorf in the individual locations Fürstenberg
, Neuses, Nordheim and Volkach. They are planted with the white wine varieties Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Kerner, Scheurebe and Bacchus, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Blaufränkisch
, Dornfelder and Domina. Partner for the wine processing is the WG DIVINO Nordheim Thüngersheim
. The white wines are fermented and aged in steel tanks. The red wines are traditionally exclusively mash fermented and mature in large wooden barrels or in barriques. The wide range of products includes many white wines, red wines, Rotling
