2017 Neuenahr Sonnenberg Frühburgunder, Ahr, Germany

Firm, tart nose, touch of smoked bacon, red and black berries, hint of cherries, nutty, mineral and herbaceous notes, touch of peat. Fairly firm, cool, elegant, juicy fruit on the palate, noticeable acid bite, youthful tannins, herbaceous traces, citrus notes, nutty traces, light mineral notes, very restrained smoky oak, hint of bacon, good persistence, still undeveloped, clear contours, light vegetal notes on a very good, cool, juicyf inish.
