2017 Marienthal Trotzenberg Spätburgunder, Ahr, Germany

Fir, tart nose, light toasted notes, ripe red and a few black berries, light smoky, spicy and mineral notes. Fir, tart, juicy, youthful fruit on the palate, light toasted oak, lively acidity, fairly prominent youthful tannins, good substance and persistence, floral and herbaceous traces, salty notes in the nackground, hint of bacon, touch of citrus fruit, tannins still slightly astringent, some bite on a very good, firm, tart, juicy finish.
