2015 Ahrweiler Rosenthal Spätburgunder, Ahr, Germany

Developed, nutty aroma of red and a little black berries with hints of chocolate barrel notes. Quite juicy, ripe fruit, again nutty and also somewhat chocolaty, smoky and roasted wood tones, crumbly-sandy tannin, certain persistence, a little salt in the background, slight acid bite, good to very good, very slightly drying finish.

Ripe, fairly firm and juicy fruit on the palate, grippy tannins, light yeasty notes, earthy and nutty notes, hint of tart tobacco, prominent mineral notes, peppery traces in the background, still largely undeveloped, some depth, very good long finish.
