2011 Colli Bolognesi DOC Riserva, Emilia Romagna, Italy

Fairly mature nose, light cedary and tarry notes, partly preserved and partly dried predominantly black berries, spicy oak and some cola nut. Fairly mature, partly preserved and dried fruit on the palate, toasted, smoky oak, cedary notes, smoked bacon and spice, fairly prominent, slightly astringent tannins, fairly full-bodied, dried vegetal and herbaceous notes in the background, hint of black olives, some ashes and earthy notes, slightly brittle style, good to very good tart finish.
