2020 Roero DOCG Riserva "Ciabot San Giorgio", Piedmont, Italy

Clear, firm and deep, quite polished aroma of red and black berries with slightly smoky and delicately leathery notes, a hint of tar, moderate barrel tones, herbs and a little cherry. Firm, ripe, juicy, dense fruit, nutty, tobacco and slightly cocoa-spicy flavours, again certain barrel tones, crumbly-sandy, youthful tannin, persistent on the palate, has power and at the same time polish, good depth, some smoke and tar, multi-layered, very good, firm finish. May mature.
