2020 Barbaresco DOCG Basarin, Piedmont, Italy

Delicate floral and leathery scent of more red than black berries with a little tomato, herbs and a hint of smoke. Clear, polished, fine-juicy fruit, youthful, yet quite fine tannin, nutty, herbal and delicately leathery tones, some salt, good persistence, a trace of chocolate in the background, salty minerality, has freshness, some depth, floral and ethereal nuances, very good, juicy and finely spicy finish.
