2016 Barbaresco DOCG Basarin Riserva, Piedmont, Italy

Firm, rather tart, slightly nutty aroma with clear and relatively fine red and black berry aromas, delicate herbal and floral nuances as well as a hint of tar and tobacco. Polished, fine-juicy, almost cool fruit, fine tannin and delicate acidity, good persistence, tart herbal to herbaceous and very light tobacco hints, elegant style, salt in the background, floral traces, very good, polished finish with restrained cocoa and coffee spice.
