2016 Barbaresco DOCG Basarin, Piedmont, Italy

Somewhat vegetal, iodine and bloody scent of red and a little black berries with clearly dried floral aromas as well as peppery, mushroomy and meaty nuances. Clear, straightforward, tart-juicy fruit, somewhat vegetal, tobacco and peppery on the palate, taut, fine-dusty tannin, some bite, ashy traces, earthy to mineral in the background, iodine tones, very good, tart finish with citrus nuances.
