2003 Barbaresco DOCG Basarin, Piedmont, Italy

Clean nose with light mineral notes, dried flowers, forest strawberries and blueberries, with notes on leather and licorice. Firm in the mouth, clean fruit and slightly sweetish spice, fine tannins with very good presence, full-bodied, very well balanced, medium depth, attractive finish. Needs time to mature.
