2020 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Pinot Nero Riserva "Burgum Novum", Alto Adige, Italy

A smoky, finely vegetal and somewhat mushroomy nose of black and small red berries with a hint of bacon and barrel notes tending towards tobacco. Ripe, juicy, almost a little sweetish fruit, again smoky, tobacco and also roasted wood, herbal-vegetable notes, a little tomato, present, ripe, yet somewhat sandy tannin, lots of power and good persistence, warming alcohol, chalky and salty tones in the background, a little coffee grounds and cocoa, very good, firm, juicy and clearly woody-spicy finish.
