2018 Merlot trocken *** "Albert Gustav 1921", Württemberg, Germany

Somewhat nutty and slightly chocolaty, warm aroma of ripe black and red berries with dried vegetal to tobacco notes. Ripe, warm, tart-juicy fruit, smoky and slightly spicy tones, again also a little dried-vegetable in the background, crumbly-sandy tannin, a trace of ash in the background, powerful, although not too deep, ethereal traces, good to very good finish with ripe fruit and slightly bitterish, coffee-spicy wood notes.
