2022 Untertürkheim Herzogenberg Pinot Noir VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Fest, quite complex, somewhat nutty, spicy and dried-plant nose with mixed, increasingly dark berries with a hint of forest floor, juniper and hinted elderberry. Polished, herbaceous-fruity taste with some bitter chocolate wood notes, also a bit of cinnamon and anise, crumbly, still quite present tannin, good substance and sustainability, in the background tobacco, beef, soy and leather, chalky and a little stony minerality, certain depth, very good, bitter finish with some alcohol warmth, but with air also increasingly cooling ethereal-plant nuances.
