2014 trocken Cuvée "Wilhelm", Pfalz, Germany

Firm aroma of ripe black and red berries with nutty and slightly tobacco wood notes, a little smoke, dried mushrooms, mint, meat juice and forest floor. Tart, juicy, again quite firm fruit, a little chocolaty and coffee-spicy wood, crumbly, sandy, very slightly drying tannin, marmalade nuances on the palate, good persistence, bitterish sooty traces, has power but also cooling elements, again some meat juice peppery nuances, very good, juicy, slightly ethereal finish.
