2021 "Echo der Erde", Alto Adige, Italy

Firm and quite deep, also polished, slightly warm aroma of ripe black berries with a hint of cherries, some dark chocolate, hints of liquorice and a hint of violets. Ripe, warm, juicy fruit with smoky, somewhat nutty and restrained chocolaty aromas, dense and persistent on the palate, has a lot of power, but also polish, ripe, crumbly tannin, peppery nuances, moderate wood spice, fine ethereal-herbal notes and some liquorice, slightly smoky and salty in the background, good depth, very good, firm, juicy and again somewhat ethereal-spicy finish.
