2019 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Lagrein Riserva "Sond", Alto Adige, Italy

Firm and quite deep, tart, somewhat vegetal to dried herbal and tobacco, nutty and hinted mushroomy scent of dark berries with a little cherry, mint and pepper. Clear, juicy fruit with a hint of nutmeg and mint, noticeable acidity, fine, crumbly tannin, dense and persistent, spicy wood notes in the background, hints of cocoa and sage, chalky minerality, very good finish, with almost a little lemony acidity.
