Clear, firm and quite deep aroma of ripe predominantly black berries with some liquorice, nuts and tobacco wood notes as well as a hint of herbs in the background. Straight, dark, juicy fruit, polished and rather tart, youthful, present, yet very ripe tannin, herbal and peppery-spicy flavours, a hint of smoke, coffee and hints of soot, minty hints, persistent, restrained power, almost a little slippery style, but gaining complexity and grip with air, very good, juicy and spicy, again polished finish with ripe dark fruit, clove and star anise.
