The wines keep constant high level and are usually the best in their respective category in the area. Weaknesses, there is little, but can occur in difficult vintages. However, this must be balanced in good years with particularly compelling assortments so that an operation can hold the status. In most cases you can blindly buy.

The winery is located in the community of Flemlingen (area Südliche Weinstraße) in the German wine region Pfalz. The wine cellar dates back to the 15th century and was then owned as a tithe cellar (Zehentkeller) by the Counts of Leyen. The winery has been run by Theo and his wife Martina and daughter Regine Minges for over six generations. The vineyards cover 25 hectares of vineyards in the individual locations Rosenkranz (Böchingen), Schlossgarten (Burrweiler), Herrenbuckel, Vogelsprung and Zechpeter (Flemlingen), Hölle (Gleisweiler), Letten (Hainfeld), as well as Silberberg (Walsheim)

In addition to the two main varieties Riesling and Pinot Noir, the white wine varieties Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Scheurebe, Muscatel and Gewürztraminer, as well as the red wine varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are cultivated. The cultivation is carried out in accordance with the guidelines of organic (ecological) viticulture, which have been certified since the 2013 vintage. The white wines are fermented cool and slowly after and are stored on the full yeast for a long time. The red wines are macerated and aged for a long time in large wooden barrels or barriques. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced. The winery is a member of the VDP and Slow Food.
