2020 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Gries Lagrein Riserva "Anton", Alto Adige, Italy

Slightly warm, a hint of malty aroma of ripe black rather than red berries with a little dried herbs and bitter chocolate, hints of tobacco and dried flowers. Partly preserved, very slightly open fruit, smoky and moderately roasted wood tones, some tobacco and dried herbs, a hint of malt on the palate, warming alcohol, fine sandy tannins, delicately ashy bitterness, but also a hint of sweetness, noticeable acid bite, oniony traces, a hint of nut liqueur, lemony notes, good to very good finish, again with a slight bitterness.
