2006 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Lagrein Riserva Grieser, Alto Adige, Italy

Translate to English Deutlich holzwürziger und etwas animalischer Duft nach schwarzen Beeren mit getrocknet-pflanzlichen bis tabakigen und erdigen Noten. Ziemlich herbe Frucht mit rauchig-röstigen Holzaromen, deutlich erdigen und auch wieder getrocknet-pflanzlichen Tönen, merklicher Säurebiss, etwas Pfeffer, mittlere Kraft, nicht allzu tief, ziemlich herber Abgang.

Editor note: Ripe, partly preserved and partly dried red and black cherries on the nose, some cherries, sweetish spice, some cloves, licorice and cedar, light roasted notes. Clear, ripe, juicy fruit on the palate, slightly cool, roasted oak, quite fine tannins, only slightly sandy, persistent, floral and mineral notes, good substance and has some depth, medium body, very good finish.
