2017 Riesling Grünschiefer, Nahe, Germany

Nose still slightly muted and yeasty, light vegetal and herbaceous notes, fresh, fairly elegant yellow fruit. Slightly sweetish, juicy fruit on the palate, vegetal notes, reminiscent of green pesto, slightly muted again with some yeasty notes, lively acidity, integrated tannins, fairly persistent, some depth, still largely undeveloped, good to very good firm, juicy finish, again with a hint of pesto. Very unusual, and already quite appealing.
