2020 Michelfeld Himmelberg Blaufränkisch trocken Reserve, Baden, Germany

Warm, slightly indifferent aroma of ripe red and black berries with nutty and somewhat tobacco-like woody spice and cocoa notes. Tart fruit with earthy, leathery and woody notes, fine sandy tannins and some acid bite, a little smoky on the palate, a hint of salt, some warmth, little depth and rather limited substance, some persistence, good finish with a slight bitterness.
